Here is a list of alternative tools available for free to anyone as needed.  Ideally, if you have the Adobe software, then you should be fine with those.  However, if one does not have access or is able to get Adobe installed on a device, then the list below should help you tremendously.  Some of these options are web based and you can use them in a web browser as long as you have internet; some are needed to be downloaded and work off the device.  All are free or at least have some free aspects to use.  I do not have working knowledge of all of these non-Adobe programs, however many of the tools, features, tasks, and interfaces may share some similarities to the Adobe programs that I cover in class.

I hope these help and these may become a lifeline for many students during this Covid-19 Pandemic while working remotely from home.  Students were given Chromebooks which are wonderful for most classes, but to my knowledge, Adobe software cannot be installed on these or run efficiently on Chromebooks.  #sadness

I also want to give credit to Mr. Bourgeois for putting the majority of this list together that I then built upon.  His list was much more extensive; there is a lot of programs and software out there.

(Medibang & Photopea are my personal favorites in this list if Adobe is not available.)
